Wire Services FAQs

Wire transfers offer the advantage of funds availability within minutes of receipt of notification by the credit union. A receipt will be mailed as soon as the funds are deposited. Give the sender these instructions word for word:

Wire to: Widget Federal Credit Union

Routing & Transit Number 243381117

For final credit to the account of: member’s name, account number, and designated share (Checking or Savings).

The first thing you need to do is call the receiving financial institution and ask for their wire transfer instructions. They will give you the full institution name, address, city, ABA number, third party if necessary, and the correct way to state the account number. Send us a signed fax or file upload (will need to contact credit union for this option) with these instructions, the full name of the beneficiary, the full address of the beneficiary, the account number of the beneficiary, total amount needed and a copy of your current driver’s license. You can also come in to any of our branch locations to complete the transfer. We will deduct the money directly from your account along with the associated fee.
